This forum has become more of an archive than an active chat space (particularly since the Google/YouTube, Facebook, etc. bans/censorship).
New discussions may be split off of existing threads in order to keep the threads in their current order rather than have a new post move a less important thread to the top of the category, as well as to keep the forum a little cleaner. You may have noticed that threads are "bumped" in order to place what would seem the more important subjects toward the top of their category so folks don't get worn out reading less important threads before moving down to discover more important ones.
